Alice and Todd were amazing!! We had an awesome time capturing their wedding which ended up at the Central Park Boathouse. Despite the limo company standing up Alice, (the Helmsley came through for them, kudos!)they both let nothing spoil what was a great event.

The skies cleared up just in time for Marc and Wolly (especially Marc) who were worried that they couldn't pull off their dream wedding, starting with an outdoor cocktail hour on the roof at Tribeca Rooftop. As it turned out, the wedding was magnificent! No details were left out and we danced until the early a.m. hours.

Jennifer and Daniel were married in Rutherford, New Jersey. Prior to the start of the ceremony I got a quick crash course of the history of the church and of Rutherford, by Thomas the organist. "Rutherford is a small town and a dry town" I said "oh"- thinking that we were going to hightail it out of there and head to the Valley Regency in Clifton, NJ where the booze and fun were flowing all night long! But before we left to the festivities, i shot some really nice footage on the church grounds. Take a peak, but you can't have a drink.

Sunday's wedding was just beautiful! Rachel and Evan were super cool and fun and up for anything. My only regret was that the weather outside was frightful (to say the least) we were confined to the indoors at the Tappan Hill in Tarrytown, NY and it just did not matter! We had a great time; complete run of the mansion (thanks to ed the so awesome maitre d')!

Running around in Washington Square park as the bridesmaids shivered set the scene for Jennifer and Andrew's formal pictures. We jumped around from the park to a cute cobblestone street a couple of blocks away to capture the very essence of New York City.

This was definitely one of the most beautiful weddings i've videotaped--not because it was aesthetically spectacular, but because it was a wedding oozing with soul, spirit, and life! The dancing was wild and high-energy filled! Having the reception held at Tribeca rooftop just capped the evening perfectly.

Incredible views from the huge roofdeck, stunning windows and views from the entire venue...seriously the place is perfect.

What started to be a rain soaked, chilly fall day, turned into a sunny and beautiful spring like afternoon in last few days of October. When Jackie and David stepped out of the church in Greenwich, CT after saying their "i do's' the skies turned to blue. We headed to the Greenwich Country Club for the reception and the backdrop was incredible. We could have spent hours filming on the grounds but opted for the cocktail hour and reception instead! Morgan and Chris' "Sexy Back" entrance

What more can I say about a couple who were just sooooo much fun at their wedding up in Patriot Hills! Morgan and Chris made an entrance into the reception to the song "Sexy Back". Well, with that said, I thought i'd have a little fun with it. Here is a clip of Morgan and Chris getting down and having a lot of fun doing so. What is so great about clips like these is that you really get to see all the funky dance moves and expressions of different people, not to mention the awesome moves Morgan put together for this dance!

we just watched the wedding video...it was incredible, thank you so very much...I cried again just watching it.

I just love the name! With all due respect to her husband Ray, Lourdes looked absolutely stunning! So how about traveling over the George Washington bridge to Manhattan, during rush hour on a Friday? Most would shiver about the idea, but the traffic gods were with us. In what would be my first nighttime exit in a long time , Lourdes and Ray (okay Ray, you looked really good too!)emerged from the church under the Manhattan streetlamps as husband and wife. Oh, and by the way, our trek back across the GWB to the hall was just as smooth.

Kristen and Mike's Photo Montage

Kristen and Mike are tying the knot this weekend, but before they do, they are having a rehearsal dinner on Friday. Kristen asked me to put a photo montage together so they can view it at the rehearsal dinner. Day after day, pictures kept coming in overnight mail to my studio and day after day I added them to her montage. On the very last day, just before I was going to hit the "burn to disc" button, 3 more pictures came along with apologetic notes and emails from Kristen. When all was said and done it was my absolute pleasure to get this montage together for her and Mike. Hmmm, maybe I should wait for today's mail......? lol

THANK YOU so much- my mom and I just watched it- it's amazing- we cried! I love your message- sums me up to a tee!!!! I can't thank you enough and I am so happy that you'll be a part of our wedding- you are the best!

What an awesome couple!! They were so much fun to work with and with the help of such a really beautiful day, their wedding was fantastic!! This same day edit was put together and shown alongside a photo slideshow by their photographer and drew great attention. Guests, especially the ones who have not made it to the ceremony were now able to see, during the reception, what went on and then some!

Hi Richard - what an absolutely INCREDIBLE video, I cannot wait to see more! You really captured the feeling of the day and the love that was truly in the air!

A Complete Wedding Online!!

This is a fully edited wedding of Jennifer and Jorge. I got the idea because a bride called me to videotape her wedding last minute in the coming weeks and I thought "what a great way to let someone see a finished wedding". Please bare in mind that the quality of this footage in no way represents the outstanding quality of a DVD. So sit back and enjoy and see what avvento weddings is all about!

P.S. their wedding clip blog was posted a couple of months ago entitled " a Slice of Cuba". They are a wonderful couple and were an absolute pleasure to work with. I thank them for the opportunity to show off their beautiful wedding.

We are sooo happy with our video! We can't thank you enough for
capturing our day so well and doing it with style and thoughtfulness. The day of
the wedding could've been stressful but you and your team worked so well
behind the scenes we couldn't feel you there at all. It was the perfect
definitionof documentary style, no imposition, no weird contrived moments, just
capturing the flow of our wedding without interrupting it at all. Our
finished product is not only fun to watch, it's well edited, takes us back
and forth through the event, and shows us all the things that we didn't see
that day. Most of all it captures "us". It's truly a great keepsake that I'm
so glad we have and can't wait to show our family and friends. We're so
proud!

Ain't No Other Man!

Michele and David had entirely too much fun at their wedding last weekend in Spring Lake, N.J.. Just watching them as photographer Karen Gordon, (www.karenscape.com) (who not only happens to be an awesome photographer, but an absolute pleasure to work with )was getting some shots after the ceremony was really funny. This little clip shows just how much they let loose during the day.

A Slice Of Cuba!

Cigars, tostones, and cuban music. This is part of what Jennifer and Jorge put to the theme of their beautiful wedding in Warren, NJ. For one night, the Stirling Ridge "se transformo a un delicoso abiente cubano". After a wonderful outdoor ceremony, the cocktail hour was full of authentic cuban music and cuisine. I particully loved the chorizo shish kebob (spanish sausage). What a suprise to find a cigar roller located in the lobby, rolling cigars and handing them out for the guests to enjoy. The reception tables were labeled with all the different towns in Cuba. The night went on with merengue and salsa music.

I can't wait to see the fully edited version of this spanish wedding video!

Lately I have been getting requests to add an unedited package to my list of packages. That option ahas always been available, but is not listed. I like to think that I can customize any one of my packages to fit the needs of any bride and groom and if thier wish is to "keep within a certain budget" then I do my best to accomodate them. So if you want your day captured but maybe want to decide at a later time to add other options like editing, well then I can help you as well. I have had many clients in the past who opted for the unedited version and either decided last minute to book the complete package or call me in 6 months to have it edited. Some are very happy just viewing the unedited version. Either way we are here to give you the best product within your budget.

My blog page, which was recently set up, gives me the opportunity to share with you my thoughts and experiences with all the different couples that I have had the pleasure to videotape. I am currently putting together excerpts from each of the weddings that I shoot. This is sort of "behind-the-scenes" look at my work and also particular things that come to my mind.

So now that the wedding season is in full bloom, and my calendar full with weddings from Staten Island, NY to the rest of the tri-state area, I will be adding all sorts of interesting, fun and beautiful moments from my each of my clients wedding day!

The Ketubah

The one thing about shooting so many different weddings and embracing different cultures is that you get to see first hand how these wonderful traditions are carried out. Karin and Todd's Ketubah signing was quite a beautiful event held up in Tarrytown, New York at the Tarrytown House.
